Cryogenic Direct Thermal Labels


Temperature Range: -196°C to +70ºC (Minimum application temperature is -28ºC.)

Cryogenic labels for direct thermal printers, ideal for the identification of cryovials, microtubes, microplates, glass tubes, freezer boxes, plastic bags and other types of containers used for cryogenic storage in liquid and vapour phase liquid nitrogen (-196°C), laboratory freezers (-120ºC, -80ºC, -20ºC), and transportation on dry ice.

Made of a thin, durable thermoplastic film and coated with a cryogenic adhesive, these cryo labels have a strong affinity for polyethylene, polypropylene and other plastic and glass surfaces, will retain their adhesion and will not become brittle or crack when exposed to cryogenic conditions. Reliable and secure, they do not require additional lamination or overlap to work and are able to resist smearing and smudging at ultra-low temperatures. The labels are resistant to standard gas sterilization (759 mg/L of ethylene oxide gas, at 55°C, and 40-80% relative humidity) followed by a two-hour aeration cycle.

These direct thermal cryogenic labels can be provided in various dimensions and configurations, with a permanent adhesive, and in a variety of colours upon request. Supplied in roll format, for easy dispensing, the labels are compatible with all major brands of direct thermal barcode printers, including Zebra, Intermec, Citizen, Cognitive, Printronix, Datamax O’Neil, SATO and others. They also accept writing with our cryo or permanent markers.
